1. Log in to GoDaddy

    • Navigate to the GoDaddy website and log into your account.
  2. Find the FileMaker Certificate

    • Locate the FileMaker SSL certificate in your list of products.
  3. Click Manage

    • Open the certificate management section.
  4. Check Auto-Renewal Status

    • The certificate is set to auto-renew for 3 years.
    • If the expiration date is later than the current date, you do not need to regenerate the key and certificate.
  5. Download the Certificate

    • Choose the Other option for the download format.
  6. Import the Certificate into FileMaker Server

    • On the FileMaker local server, go to Configuration, then click SSL Certificate.
    • Click Import Custom Certificate.
  7. Extract the Downloaded Certificate Files

    • Signed Certificate File:

      • Use the first certificate file; it typically starts with something like 6c5854b173a056.
    • Private Key File:

      • Navigate to C:\Program Files\FileMaker\FileMaker Server\CStore.
      • Upload the serverKey.pem file.
    • Intermediate Certificate File:

      • Use the third file in the download, usually named something like gd_bundle-g2-g1.
    • Private Key Password:

      • Enter the password: Jf.
  8. Restart the FileMaker Service

    • After importing the certificate, restart the FileMaker Server service to apply the changes.
