Log in to GoDaddy
- Navigate to the GoDaddy website and log into your account.
Find the FileMaker Certificate
- Locate the FileMaker SSL certificate in your list of products.
Click Manage
- Open the certificate management section.
Check Auto-Renewal Status
- The certificate is set to auto-renew for 3 years.
- If the expiration date is later than the current date, you do not need to regenerate the key and certificate.
Download the Certificate
- Choose the Other option for the download format.
Import the Certificate into FileMaker Server
- On the FileMaker local server, go to Configuration, then click SSL Certificate.
- Click Import Custom Certificate.
Extract the Downloaded Certificate Files
Signed Certificate File:
- Use the first certificate file; it typically starts with something like
6c5854b173a056
.
- Use the first certificate file; it typically starts with something like
Private Key File:
- Navigate to
C:\Program Files\FileMaker\FileMaker Server\CStore
. - Upload the
serverKey.pem
file.
- Navigate to
Intermediate Certificate File:
- Use the third file in the download, usually named something like
gd_bundle-g2-g1
.
- Use the third file in the download, usually named something like
Private Key Password:
- Enter the password:

- Enter the password:
Restart the FileMaker Service
- After importing the certificate, restart the FileMaker Server service to apply the changes.
