To access our network from outside the campus, DUO Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) is required when connecting to Cisco Secure Connect or AnyConnect VPN. Follow the steps below to set up DUO on your mobile device.

Step 1: Download the DUO Mobile App

For Android Users:

  1. Open the Google Play Store on your Android device.
  2. Search for DUO Mobile.
  3. Tap Install to download and install the app.

For iPhone Users:

  1. Open the App Store on your iPhone.
  2. Search for DUO Mobile. 
  3. Tap Get to download and install the app.

Step 2: Account Activation

  1. After the app is installed, you will receive a text message on your registered cellphone number containing a DUO activation link.
  2. Open the text message and click the link. This will automatically open the DUO Mobile app and activate your account.
  3. Once activated, you should see your account added to the DUO app. 

Step 3: Connect to VPN

  1. Important: You cannot use the school Wi-Fi to connect to the VPN. Please make sure you are connected to a different network, such as your mobile hotspot or home internet.
  2. Open Cisco AnyConnect (or Cisco Secure Connect) on your device.
  3. Enter your VPN login credentials as usual.
  4. When prompted for 2FA, you will receive a notification from the DUO app to approve or deny the login request.
    • Tap “Approve” to complete the authentication and connect to the VPN.
