There are two different ways of communicating with parents and students via WhippleHill (WH), Messaging or Email. The firstmethod, Messsaging, not recommended, is by using WH’s internal messaging system. You can see the number of unread messages on the top of your. browser.
When communicating with parents and students it has been determined the best means is to use email. WhippleHill (WH) has a simple means to send emails to parents and students. First, go to your Class, or Group, Roster.
Now choose to send to Student, Parent, or All members in the Class or Group.
If you were to send via Messaging you could enter in a message and press Send Message
To send via Email, the recommended method, you need to click Send Via Email.
This will now give you a list of email addresses for your intended audience.
Google Gmail uses Comma separators so there is no need to change options here. To get these email addresses into your browser highlight the addresses and copy the contents (Command + A to highlight all and Command + C to copy).
Now go to your browser and press Compose to create a new email to be created. It is recommended you put the addressesin the BCC section to avoid all email addresses being displayed for all recipients in the email being sent. To do thispress BCC.
Now paste the email addresses (Command + V to paste).
You can add or remove any additional emails you would like at this point.
