Magnus Mobile
Magnus Mobile is an app available for Android phones, iPhones, and iPads. Accounts to use Magnus Mobile are restricted to certain users. Users will be able to use Magnus Mobile to see student contact information (including emergency contacts), allergy information, and, in the case of an emergency, view the Magnus 911 information card.
You can request an account from the Tech Office.
Setting Up Magnus Mobile
Magnus Mobile is available via Google Play or Apple Store depending on your device. There are 2 versions available. Select version 2.
An email will be sent to you when the account is created and you will need to click the link in the email to setup a password. Your username will be your email address. If you do not download within 7 days of the account being created contact the Tech Office so your account can be reset and a new email will be sent.
Using Magnus Mobile
When in Magnus Mobile you will have 3 different options: search, Trackers, and Groups. The Trackers and Groups will list only trackers and groups you are assigned to view. Groups, generally, are lists of classes by graduation year. Groups consist of lists like teams, field trip rosters, or special rosters. Depending on your role, you may be assigned only trackers or only groups.
Trackers and Group Search
You can view everyone on specific trackers or groups by pressing Trackers or Groups.
Choose the specific tracker or group you would like to view and press Done. This will list every student in that tracker or group.
Search by Name
The more likely way to find a student would be to click on the line with the magnifying glass. There you can type in the name of the student (either first or last name will work.)
Type in the name and then press Go.
This will bring up a list of students meeting that criteria.
Select the student you are searching for and this screen will appear.
The Emergency Contacts and Allergies should be the only icons you will need. Pressing the Allergies icon will list any of the student's allergies, or lack of allergies. Press the Emergency Contacts to list emergency contacts for the student.
Press the name of the contact you would like to contact and the contact information will be displayed.
Press the phone number you'd like to call and it will make the call. Likewise, if you have email setup on your phone you can press the email address to send an email to the contact.
Emergency
In the case of an actual emergency and you do not have access to the medical reports for the student you can press the Magnus 911 ID below the student's information.
This will bring up a screen that can be activated to access the student's medical information that medical professional will need, such as allergies, medications being taken, and medical insurance information.
You can hand you phone or iPad to the medical professional so they can press the Activate to view necessary medical information or, simply, send them to https://www.magnus911.com where they can fill out the Magnus 911 to access the medical information. *Upon activation, all designated emergency contacts will automatically be notified via email and/or text messaging based on the permissions elected in the Vital Health Record. In addition, upon activation, an email will be sent to all school users that are setup to receive an alert.
