Tech Support - how to take control of a user’s computer:
- Launch LogMeIn-Rescue admin console
- New Session
- Create PIN Code
- Tell the user to:
- go to www.logmein123.com
- enter the PIN
- click “Start Download”
- go to Downloads folder and open “Support-LogMeInRescue”
- click “Open” on the “Are you sure you want to open this file?” window
- Deny the message saying “Support-LogMeInRescue would like to record this computer’s screen.”
- click “OK” on the “James Masciuch would like access to your computer.” window
- Tell the user to:
- There is now a “Customer” entry in the admin console with a status of “Connecting”
- Click on their Session ID and then click on the green Start Session button
- In the new window click “Launch Remote Control Session”
- Tech Support now has control
