Zoom phone is ON by default in your Zoom apps. So, if you have the Zoom app loaded on your computer, cellphone or tablet, you will receive calls on those devices. Teachers who do not have a physical phone may want to keep the app option on. Likewise, employees who do have a physical phone may want to also have the capability to answer phone calls via the Zoom app without being tether to a desk phone.
To turn on/off the capability of Zoom phones on you apps go to your Zoom settings at zoom.us. Choose "Sign in With Google" if not already signed in. Than click Settings and scroll down until you see the Call Handling. There you will click Edit:
