- Under Apple icon open System Preferences/Network
- Click "Turn Wi-Fi Off"
- Highlight Wi-Fi entry on left
- Click Advanced button on right
- In the new window that opens, highlight the problematic network
- Click the "minus" button ("-") under that network
- Click OK - that window now closes
- In original window, click Apply
- Click "Turn Wi-Fi On"
- Now choose that same network from the dropdown menu and reconnect
